Pick 7, 30, or 90 days
Three windows, each ending today and compared against the window before it. Days start at midnight in your timezone.

What it is
The dashboard has one date control with three options: 7 days, 30 days, and 90 days. There is no custom calendar, no from–to picker, and no way to look at a single named month.
Each range means today plus the days before it. "7 days" is today and the six days before, not last week. Today is always included and always incomplete, which is why the last bar on every chart is short.
Day boundaries follow your timezone, not UTC and not the server's. See Why your dashboard days start when they do.
When you would use it
7 days for the week after a launch, or for anything you are actively changing. Short enough that yesterday's edit is visible.
30 days for a monthly review. Long enough that a quiet Tuesday does not distort the picture.
90 days for a quarterly slide, or to answer "is this actually getting better?" Trends that are invisible over a week are obvious over a quarter.
Where to find it
Dashboard, at the top of the page next to the summary cards. It is labelled Date range and shows the three options as a segmented control.
It only appears once you have at least one chatbot — before that, the page shows setup guidance rather than an empty picker.
Steps
- Open Dashboard.
- Choose 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days.
- Everything on the page follows the change: every summary card, every chart, and the Top Chatbots breakdown.
- Read the caption under the charts — Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or Last 90 days — to confirm which window you are actually reading.
- Check the change indicator on each card. It compares against the previous window of the same length, so a 30-day view is compared with the 30 days before it.
- If you are presenting a chatbot's own page alongside the dashboard, set both to the same range before you compare anything.
The default when you arrive is 7 days. Your choice applies for as long as you are on the page; opening the dashboard fresh starts at 7 days again.
How the comparison works
Each card carries a change against the immediately preceding window of equal length, labelled {value} vs previous period.
- On 7 days, this week against the seven days before.
- On 30 days, the last thirty against the thirty before.
- On 90 days, this quarter-ish window against the one before.
If there is no earlier data — a chatbot launched three days ago has no previous week — the card says No previous period to compare rather than showing a misleading jump from zero.
Two traps to avoid:
Do not compare across ranges. A 7-day figure and a 90-day figure are different quantities, not a trend. Compare like with like.
Today drags every average down slightly. Today is a partial day in both the current window and, a day later, in the comparison. Over 30 or 90 days this is noise; over 7 days on a low-traffic chatbot it is visible.
Why there is no custom range
The three fixed windows exist so that every number on the page — the cards, the charts, and the comparison — can be computed consistently and cached. An arbitrary from–to would make each of those a separate calculation.
If you genuinely need a specific window, the practical options are:
- Use 90 days and read the daily chart, which shows every day individually and lets you eyeball a shorter stretch.
- Use the Customers list, which has its own independent date filter with All time, Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, and Last 90 days, and can be exported to CSV for analysis elsewhere.
- Read specific conversations on the chatbot's Conversations page, where each thread carries its own timestamp.
What you will see
The segmented control, the matching caption under each chart, and the change indicators on the cards. Switching ranges keeps the previous numbers on screen for an instant while the new ones load, so the layout does not jump.
Handoff Rate never shows a direction arrow, on any range. That is deliberate — a rising handoff rate is not automatically bad news, so the dashboard leaves the judgement to you.
Limits and plan notes
Three ranges only, on every plan. This is not a feature gate; longer or custom windows simply do not exist.
The window is calendar days in your timezone, not rolling 24-hour periods. Change your timezone and the same conversations regroup into different days.
The Customers date filter is separate. Changing it does not touch the dashboard, and vice versa.
Data older than 90 days is not reachable from this page. If long-term history matters to you, export what you need periodically rather than assuming you can go back later.
Common problems
I need last calendar month exactly.
Not available here. Use 30 days as the nearest window, or read the daily chart on the 90-day view and take the days you want.
Yesterday disappeared from my chart.
The window rolled at midnight in your timezone. Switch to 30 days if you still need that day in view.
Today looks almost empty.
Today is a partial day and fills as it goes. It is normally the shortest bar until the day closes. Compare complete windows rather than reading today on its own.
The picker is not on my dashboard.
You have no chatbots yet. The page shows setup guidance instead — see Create your first chatbot.
My numbers changed and I did not touch the range.
Someone chatted, or a cached figure refreshed. If the change is large and unexplained, confirm you have not switched accounts — see Switch accounts.
Common questions
Can I choose a custom date range?
No. The dashboard offers 7, 30, and 90 days only. For an exact calendar period, export your conversations and build that view in a spreadsheet.
What is each figure compared against?
The window of the same length immediately before it. A 7-day view is measured against the previous 7 days, so switching the range also switches the baseline.
Does today count as a full day?
Today is included but still filling up, which is why it is normally the lowest bar on the chart. Compare complete windows if you want a fair trend.
Why did yesterday disappear from my 7-day view?
The window rolled forward at midnight in your timezone and the oldest day dropped off the back. Switch to 30 days if you still need it in view.
Why is the range control missing?
The account has no chatbots yet, so the dashboard shows the getting-started panel instead of charts. Create a chatbot and the control appears.
