The Accounts list
See every workspace you own or belong to, then switch without signing in again. Your login and a workspace are not the same thing.

What it is
The Accounts list shows every workspace your login can open: the one you own, plus any you have been invited into and accepted.
The distinction that makes everything else click:
- Your login is you — one email address, one password, one profile, one set of preferences.
- An account (a workspace) is a container owned by exactly one person, holding chatbots, knowledge, conversations, customers, credits, and a subscription.
One login can reach several workspaces. A workspace has exactly one owner. You do not get a second login by joining a second workspace, and you do not get a second workspace by having two logins unless you deliberately created one.
When you would use it
- You accepted an invitation and your Chatbots list is still empty.
- You do consulting and work in several clients' workspaces.
- Billing or the Developer tab disappeared from your sidebar.
- You are not sure whose data you are currently looking at.
Where to find it
Open Dashboard → Accounts.
Steps
- Open Dashboard → Accounts.
- Read the list. The workspace you own is there, along with every workspace you have joined as a member.
- Note which one is currently highlighted — that is where you are right now.
- Select the workspace you want. The dashboard performs a full reload.
- Check the sidebar afterwards. Chatbots, Customers, Conversations, and the credit meter now belong to that workspace.
- Do your work, then switch back the same way when you are done.
What you will see
Each row is a workspace, not a login. The active one is highlighted.
Switching is a full page load, not a soft transition. That is deliberate: a partial switch would risk leaving one workspace's chatbot list on screen while another workspace's data loaded underneath, and mixing two tenants' data on one screen is exactly the failure that must never happen. The reload guarantees a clean slate.
Your name, photo, theme, and language do not change when you switch. Those belong to you.
What changes when you switch, and what does not
| Follows you | Belongs to the workspace |
|---|---|
| Name and photo | Chatbots |
| Theme, language, timezone | Knowledge |
| Password and two-factor | Conversations and customers |
| Which workspaces you can open | Message credits |
| Subscription and invoices | |
| Members and their roles |
Two consequences catch people out regularly.
Billing and Developer only appear when you own the workspace you are in. Inside somebody else's workspace, those tabs are absent — not broken, not a permissions bug. Their billing is theirs. Switch back to your own workspace to see yours. See Why Billing is missing.
Credits belong to the workspace, not to you. Chatting in a client's workspace spends the client's credits, and your own balance is untouched. See How message credits work.
Working in more than one workspace safely
- Check the highlighted row before you do anything destructive. Removing knowledge or deleting a chatbot in the wrong workspace is not recoverable, and the two dashboards look identical.
- Avoid two workspaces in two tabs. The tabs share one session and one active workspace, so switching in one tab quietly changes what the other tab is really talking to. Finish in one workspace, then switch.
- Read the credit meter. It is the fastest way to confirm where you are — a client's balance rarely matches your own.
- If a chatbot you expect is missing, it is almost always the wrong workspace rather than a deleted chatbot.
Limits and plan notes
- Free includes 1 seat — the owner only. Nobody else can be added, so a Free workspace never appears on anyone else's Accounts list.
- Paid plans include more seats, so members appear here once they accept their invitation. See Seats and billing for teams.
- Being a member of someone else's workspace does not use a seat in your own.
- Your role can differ per workspace: owner in yours, editor in one client's, viewer in another's. See Roles and permissions.
- A membership can be scoped to specific chatbots, so you may see fewer chatbots than the workspace actually has.
Common problems
I accepted an invite but my Chatbots list is still empty.
You are still in your own workspace. Open Accounts and switch to the one that invited you. This is the single most common confusion on this page.
Billing disappeared after I switched.
You are inside someone else's workspace. Switch back to your own.
The workspace I was invited to is not on the list.
The invitation was not accepted, it was sent to a different email address than the one you are signed in with, or it expired. Ask the owner to resend it to exactly the address on your Settings → Account page.
Switching does not change anything.
Make sure the page finished reloading. If two tabs are open, close the stale one — it is showing a snapshot from before the switch.
Is an account the same as my login?
No. Your login is you. An account is a workspace owned by one person. You can belong to several.
Will switching change my password or two-factor?
No. Security belongs to your login and travels with you. Only the workspace context changes. See Two-factor authentication.
Common questions
Is an account the same as my login?
No. Your login is you — one email, one profile. An account is a workspace owned by one person, and you can belong to several of them.
Why did Billing disappear after I switched?
You are inside someone else's workspace, and their billing is theirs. Billing and Developer only appear in a workspace you own.
Will switching change my password or two-factor?
No. Security belongs to your login and travels with you. Only the workspace context changes.
Whose credits do I spend in a client's workspace?
Theirs. Credits belong to the workspace, not to the person chatting, so your own balance is untouched.
Can I keep two workspaces open in two tabs?
Not reliably. Both tabs share one active workspace, so switching in one quietly changes what the other is talking to. Finish in one, then switch.
