Instructions and actions
Tell the chatbot how to behave, then add Call actions so it can show buttons, hand off to a human, alert your team, capture leads, or call your API.

Write instructions
Standing rules that shape every reply: tone, format, and what the chatbot must never say. Short items, up to 200 characters each.
Instruction limits
Each instruction item is capped at 200 characters. How many items you get depends on your plan: Free 1, up to Agency 20.
What are Call actions?
Call actions are things your chatbot may do mid-chat: show a button, hand off, alert your team, save a contact, or call an API.
Create a Call Action
Add an action from the Actions tab: pick a type or template, configure it, test it in the sandbox, then enable it for visitors.
Use a template
Templates are one-click Call Action starting points for Cal.com, Zendesk, Slack, Shopify and more. You add only the credential.
Call action template reference
Every Call Action template, grouped by what it does, with the credential each one needs and whether it asks the visitor to confirm.
HTTP connectors
A Custom API action calls an endpoint you configure during a chat and answers with the result. The chatbot fills in the values.
Hand off to a human
When the chatbot cannot help, a handoff flags the conversation and emails your team the reason plus a link to the transcript.
Show buttons and quick replies
A Button action puts a labelled link under the reply. It sends nothing and stores no secret, so it is the safest one to start with.
Notify your team
A Notify action emails your team a short summary when a conversation matters, without telling the visitor anything happened.
Collect visitor details
A Collect info action gathers contact details in normal conversation and saves them to your Customers list. No form, no popup.
Call Action history
The run log records every attempt: success, failed, timed out, awaiting confirmation, pending or skipped, each with a plain reason.
MCP connector availability
MCP Call actions are availability-dependent and off by default. Treat the type as unavailable until you see a successful discovery.
