Question 1

Can I change my email address here?

Accepted Answer

No. Email is read-only on this page because it is your sign-in identity. See Change your name or email for the realistic options.

Question 2

Does my teammate see the company field?

Accepted Answer

They see your display name and photo. Company and job title are details about you as a person — they are not a second name for your workspace.

Question 3

Why does the page show Retry instead of my details?

Accepted Answer

Your profile failed to load. The form is hidden on purpose: saving an empty form would overwrite your company and phone with blank values.

Question 4

Is the phone field used for two-factor codes?

Accepted Answer

No. It is a contact detail only. Two-factor uses an authenticator app, and signup phone verification is a separate flow when your installation requires it.

Question 5

Can a workspace owner rename me?

Accepted Answer

No. Nobody can edit anybody else's profile. If a member list shows the wrong name, that person has to change it themselves.

Question 6

Will changing my name break sign-in?

Accepted Answer

No. You sign in with your email address or with Google. The display name is a label and is not a credential.

Question 7

Why is there no email-change form?

Accepted Answer

Moving a sign-in address safely means proving you control the new mailbox and handling pending invitations. Rather than ship half of that, Agentency does not offer it.

Question 8

What do I do if I signed up with the wrong address?

Accepted Answer

Create a new account on the correct address, then invite it into the workspace you care about. Do not delete the old login if it owns the workspace.

Question 9

Can a workspace owner change a member's email?

Accepted Answer

No. Owners control roles and access, never someone else's sign-in identity. The field is read-only for everyone.

Question 10

Does anything stop working if I never verify?

Accepted Answer

Not today — the banner is a reminder, not a lock. But password resets and invitations all rely on that mailbox, so finish it while it is easy.

Question 11

The email never arrived. What should I check?

Accepted Answer

Spam first, then the spelling of the address on Settings → Account, then resend once and wait a minute. Corporate mail filters are the usual silent culprit.

Question 12

Why is there no resend button on the page?

Accepted Answer

Sending yourself a new link requires a signed-in session. Opened while signed out, the page offers a sign-in button instead.

Question 13

The link says it expired.

Accepted Answer

Verification links do not last forever. Sign in, use Resend link on the banner, and open the fresh message promptly.

Question 14

I signed in with Google — do I need to verify?

Accepted Answer

No. Google has already confirmed the address. If you are being asked, you probably also created a separate email-and-password login on the same address.

Question 15

Does Arabic change the Help Center too?

Accepted Answer

No. Help articles stay in English. The dashboard, including this settings page, switches to a full right-to-left Arabic layout.

Question 16

Does timezone change when my credits reset?

Accepted Answer

No. Credit periods follow billing. Timezone only changes how times are written on your screen, and each teammate sees their own.

Question 17

Why does the page sometimes show Retry instead of the form?

Accepted Answer

Your preferences could not be loaded. A form seeded with English and UTC defaults could overwrite your real settings, so the editor waits.

Question 18

My chatbot still answers in the old language.

Accepted Answer

Visitor language is a per-chatbot setting, not a personal one. A dashboard in Arabic with a chatbot answering in English is perfectly normal.

Question 19

Why is there no System option?

Accepted Answer

Matching the operating system makes the page paint in one theme and jump to the other. Always starting in Light removes that flash for the cost of one click.

Question 20

Does dark mode change what my visitors see?

Accepted Answer

No. This is your dashboard only. The widget and hosted page follow their own per-chatbot appearance settings.

Question 21

Why did a new device open in light mode?

Accepted Answer

A fresh device has no local copy of your choice yet, so it opens in Light and switches once your account details arrive. It remembers from then on.

Question 22

Is there a quicker toggle than the settings page?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The marketing pages, sign-in screens, and the page-not-found screen carry a sun/moon toggle in the header that changes the same setting.

Question 23

Is there an Agentency app in the App Store or Google Play?

Accepted Answer

No. You install it from your browser — Add to Home Screen on iOS Safari, or Install app on Android and desktop Chromium browsers.

Question 24

Can I use the dashboard offline?

Accepted Answer

No. Chatbots, conversations, knowledge, and analytics all come from the server, and signed-in pages are deliberately never cached on the device.

Question 25

Why are dashboard pages never stored offline?

Accepted Answer

A cached page of customer conversations could be replayed on a shared device after you sign out. Not storing it is the point, not a limitation.

Question 26

What does the offline screen do?

Accepted Answer

It replaces the browser's error page with a clear explanation, a Try Again button, and a Go Back button. Reconnect and reload — there is nothing to fix on it.

Question 27

Does installing send me push notifications?

Accepted Answer

No. Installing gives you an icon and a full-screen window. It does not add notifications of any kind.

Question 28

How long do I have to change my mind?

Accepted Answer

Thirty days. Signing in with the same email or Google account at any point in that window cancels the deletion and restores everything.

Question 29

Does this delete my teammates' accounts?

Accepted Answer

No. Their Agentency logins are theirs. They lose access to the workspace you owned, permanently, once the grace period ends.

Question 30

What happens to my chatbots during the grace period?

Accepted Answer

They go offline for visitors immediately on confirmation, not after 30 days. Take down any embedded links first so nobody hits a dead chatbot.

Question 31

I only want to leave someone else's workspace.

Accepted Answer

Then do not delete your account. Leave the workspace instead — your login survives and you can still be invited elsewhere.

Question 32

It is asking for a two-factor code and I signed up with Google.

Accepted Answer

That is expected. Google accounts with two-factor enabled confirm with an authenticator or backup code instead of a password.

Question 33

Do I have to finish every onboarding step in order?

Accepted Answer

The order is the shortest path, but nothing is enforced. Only Create is a button; the other three steps are guidance you can follow at your own pace.

Question 34

I trained a chatbot and visitors still get a 404. Why?

Accepted Answer

Creating, training, and activating are three different things. An inactive chatbot returns 404 on its public link even when it answers perfectly in Test Chatbot.

Question 35

The welcome card disappeared. Can I bring it back?

Accepted Answer

No, and nothing is lost. It only shows while the workspace has no chatbots. Everything it pointed at is in the sidebar.

Question 36

Are preferences per workspace?

Accepted Answer

No. Theme, language, and timezone follow you. Chatbots, credits, and billing belong to whichever workspace you switched into.

Question 37

Is an account the same as my login?

Accepted Answer

No. Your login is you — one email, one profile. An account is a workspace owned by one person, and you can belong to several of them.

Question 38

Why did Billing disappear after I switched?

Accepted Answer

You are inside someone else's workspace, and their billing is theirs. Billing and Developer only appear in a workspace you own.

Question 39

Will switching change my password or two-factor?

Accepted Answer

No. Security belongs to your login and travels with you. Only the workspace context changes.

Question 40

Whose credits do I spend in a client's workspace?

Accepted Answer

Theirs. Credits belong to the workspace, not to the person chatting, so your own balance is untouched.

Question 41

Can I keep two workspaces open in two tabs?

Accepted Answer

Not reliably. Both tabs share one active workspace, so switching in one quietly changes what the other is talking to. Finish in one, then switch.
